Exhibition "Dreams" Jelena Minić Mrđen's exhibition opened at the Gayo Gallery in Porto Montenegro, where it will be on display until July 12th.
"The exhibition brings works that, at first glance, open the door to a quiet, inner world, rich in meanings, emotions and associations. Starting from old photographs, those 'silent guardians' of past moments, Jelena transforms fragments of the past into new artistic wholes that transcend time and speak in a universal, emotional language," the statement reads.
The exhibited works demonstrate a more mature and bolder artistic approach, the exhibition organizers add, with pronounced freedom of expression and carefully considered composition.
"Jelena is an artist who creates honestly and deeply, and in her authentic expression she manages to connect the past, the present and what touches us all personally - memory, intuition and dream," said gallery owner Tamara Vojvodić. emphasizing that in each work there is a "fine tension between order and play, silence and message", and that this is precisely an invitation to the observer to pause, listen and recognize something of their own.
"The 'Dreams' exhibition is not just the artist's story - these are dreams that awaken personal memories, feelings, and perhaps forgotten thoughts in each of us," the gallery says.
