CNP in August in Ohrid, Bar and Budva

The Montenegrin National Theatre will be a guest at the Ohrid Summer, Bar Chronicle and Budva City Theatre festivals and events during August with performances from its latest productions.

The play "Princess Xenia of Montenegro", an original project by the director Radmile Vojvodic, will be performed on August 5th at the 65th "Ohrid Summer" festival, and then on August 12th at the 38th Bar Chronicle.

The roles are played by: Varja Djukic, Ana Vuckovic, Dejan Ivanic, Izudin Bajrovic, Gorana Markovic, Aleksandar Radulovic, Jelena Laban, Slobodan Marunovic, Dusan Kovacevic, Ana Vujosevic i Lazar Đurđević.

Festival premiere and rerun of the play "The Subject of Medea", directed by Diego de Brea, co-produced by CNP and the Bar Cultural Center, will be performed on August 16th and 17th at the Summer Stage of the "Vladimir Popović Španac" Cultural Center, as part of the Bar Chronicle.

The cast consists of: Nada Vukčević, Jovan Dabović, Luka Stanković, Ivona Raković i Jelena V. Djukic.

At the Budva City Theatre Festival, on August 22nd and 23rd, the play "The Other Side" will be performed, an original project by the director Boris Liješević.

The play features: Aleksandar Radulovic, Lazar Djurdjevic, Kristina Obradovic, Zana Gardasevic - Bulatovic, Nada Vukcevic, Jadranka Mamic, Danilo Celebic, Zoran Vujovic, Ana Vujosevic, Mirjana Spajic, Tihana Culafic, Jelena Minic, Jelena Nenezic, Branka Otasevic, Julija Milacic Petrovic Njegos, Jovan Dabovic, Jovana Brnovic i Anđela Marunović.

At this year's 70th Sterijin Pozorje in Novi Sad, the Sterijin Award for Best Actor went to Aleksandar Radulović for the role of Vuk, while the Sterijin Award for Directing went to Boris Liješević.

Previous and upcoming guest appearances are part of the national theater's ongoing mission to nurture contemporary expression, promote Montenegrin dramatic heritage, and be present on the most important domestic and regional stages, the CNP announced.
