The second Tivat Music Festival will give the audience the pleasure of hearing the “Jadran” City Choir again on Sunday, August 10, at 21 pm in the Great Hall of the Cultural Center.
The repertoire of the concert entitled "Tivat is the World" will include some of the most beautiful choral pieces inspired by world music.
The choir is led by a professor. Andrea Orlando-Tripović, under the auspices of the Tivat Cultural Center. The choir will perform with piano accompaniment Ivana Marović, and participates in Ivan Derzhiev on the accordion.
The City Choir "Jadran" was founded under the auspices of the Tivat Cultural Center in early 2024, at the initiative of the director of the CCC Goran Božović and in agreement with Professor Andrea Orlando-Tripović.
This mixed choir draws on a long tradition of choral singing in Tivat, which has lasted for almost a century with breaks, and for this reason the name “Jadran” was chosen, after the name of the city choir that ceased operations about twenty years ago. The choir’s first official concert was held at the closing of the first Tivat Music Festival in 2024, followed by other performances and a full-length New Year’s concert at the end of the same year, when the choir performed with a famous singer from Croatia. Radojkom Smuggling.
Through serious and dedicated work, led by Professor Andrea Orlando-Tripović, with the wholehearted support of the Tivat Cultural Center, as well as careful selection of repertoire, the City Choir "Jadran" has reached an enviable level of performance quality in a short time. Today, it has around fifty members, with a constant tendency to grow.
