Prominent Montenegrin artist, painter and sculptor Krsto Andrijašević passed away today at the age of 77, reports Radio Television Nikšić.

Andrijašević was born in 1948 in Balosave near Vilusi, the former municipality of Grahovo. He completed elementary school in Vilusi, and high school in Nikšić, as well as the Pedagogical Academy, art department.

He graduated from the Faculty of Fine Arts in Belgrade, in the class of sculptor Jovan Kratohvil. He has had a large number of solo and group exhibitions. He has also received numerous awards and recognitions, including five awards from the Association of Fine Artists of Montenegro, as well as the highest state award, the Thirteenth of July Award.

At the beginning of the year, his book "Memories and Something Else" was published and presented to the public, in which Andrijašević bares his soul with words, evoking life, memories, but also an unassailable creation and passion for creation. And he created, tirelessly, uniquely and originally, continuously.

In one of the numerous interviews for "Vijesti", which have naturally followed each other over the years, flowed with ease and were read with interest, always revealing something new about Andrijašević as an artist and a man, he said:

"I try to make sure that the presence of man is felt in every one of my works, no matter how abstract the form," he said, and it was Nkeg's works that were a map of his world, vision, and life.
