Dukaj: Respect for the Albanian language is the foundation of a multiethnic society, institutions must ensure that attacks do not happen again

Minister of Public Administration Maraš Dukaj condemned the "uncivilized act" of interrupting the screening of the film "Roda" in Podgorica.

He said that freedom of artistic expression and respect for the Albanian language, which is in official use in Montenegro, "represent the foundations of our multiethnic society."

"Institutions must react decisively and ensure that such attacks on democracy and cultural diversity never happen again. Albanian political representatives in the current government are there to preserve democracy and the multiethnic character of Montenegro, and not the opposite. Therefore, we must not be without reaction and every form of initiation and verification of the actions of the competent authorities," Dukaj announced on Iks.
