Azemović: There is no place for intolerance towards anyone, especially not towards Albanians

The interruption of the screening of a film in the Albanian language at the Dzada Film Fest in Podgorica is an unacceptable act of intolerance and hatred, said Bosniak Party Presidency member and Minister of Diaspora Mirsad Azemović.

"Albanians, the Albanian language, culture, artists... are an integral part of a civic, multiethnic, multicultural, modern, European and the only possible Montenegro. It is unacceptable, and even a criminal offense, for anyone in Montenegro to be bothered by this," he said.

He called on the prosecution to determine who the "perpetrators of this crime" are and to urgently prosecute them.

"In Montenegro, there is no place for intolerance towards anyone, especially not towards Albanians and the Albanian language as an inseparable part of the identity of modern Montenegro built into its foundations," said Azemović.
