Solo exhibition "Cetinje Parks - My Intellectual Exercise Books" by the author Ana Lompar will open on September 22nd at 19 pm in Cetinje.
The exhibition will be officially opened at the Gallery of the Cultural Center of the Royal Capital of Cetinje by a master of art history and theory. Mladen Zadrima.
The exhibition, according to the press release, includes graphic works made using traditional techniques: drypoint, aquatint, etching, linocut, as well as drawings using combined techniques.
"Artistic language becomes a tool for recording memory, emotion, and connection with nature," the announcement states.
The Cultural Center of the Royal Capital states that the solo exhibition "Cetinje Parks - My Intellectual Exercise Books" is inspired by the deepest roots - a childhood spent in two Cetinje parks, near the building of the former English embassy.
"In these spaces of nature and silence, where imagination played without limits, the first, silent connection with art was created. The parks became living beings, witnesses of growing up, inner conversations and maturation. Every rustle of leaves, every ray of light - they were replicas in a small theater of life," the statement reads, and the audience will be able to witness all of this.
Ana Lompar was born in Cetinje. She graduated and received her master's degree from the Faculty of Fine Arts in Cetinje, Department of Graphic Arts. She studied in France (Pont-Aven, School of Contemporary Art) and the United States (Art Center, Aspen). She has received several international scholarships and participated in numerous graphic workshops, including leading workshops in France in 2008.
