The group "Mandolin Blues", which consists of renowned Italian musicians, will hold a concert tonight in Podgorica, in the large hall of the Cultural and Information Center (KIC) "Budo Tomović", at 20 p.m., and admission is free.
"This is a new project by the famous Neapolitan mandolinist and guitarist Lina Muoja (Lino Muoio), which encompasses a variety of styles, from vintage country blues Jenka Rachel (Jenkins Rachel) to Chicago Blues Karla Martina (Carl Martin) i Johnny Young (Johnny Young), with touches of jazz, swing and bluegrass. Combining various styles, 'Mandolin Blues' achieves a balance between the music of Chicago blues and the swing of Neapolitan orchestras,” the KIC statement states.
In addition to Lin Muojo, the ensemble also includes: harmonica player Max Manđaneli (Max Manganelli), bassist Gianni Franki (Gianni Franchi), drummer Roberto Ferante (Roberto Ferrante) the pijanista Robert Lance (Roberto Lanzo).
The organizers are the Embassy of Italy, the Italian Cultural Institute in Belgrade and KIC “Budo Tomović”.
