This month, the Tivat Cultural Center is presenting two of its plays at the 34th Festival "Days of Zoran Radmilović" in Zaječar and at the same time bringing the play "Silencing Socrates" to the 45th Festival "Days of Bora" in Vranje.
In Zaječar, the audience will be able to see two Tivat productions: "The Silencing of Socrates", co-produced with Bitef Theatre, and "Contra Mundum". While "Contra Mundum" will be performed on the Zaječar stage, "The Silencing of Socrates" will be performed simultaneously in Vranje, confirming the high reputation of the Tivat Cultural Centre's theatrical productions.
The competitive selection of the festival in Zaječar includes nine plays from Serbia, Bosnia and Herzegovina and Montenegro: "Left, Right, Actor" - YugoArt, "Galleries" - Zaječar Theater, "My Theater" - Atelje 212, Belgrade, "Una" - Zvezdara Theater, Belgrade, "Every Bird to Its Flock" - Belgrade Drama Theater, "Masters, Masters" - National Theater of the Republic of Srpska, Banja Luka, "Silencing Socrates" - Center for Culture Tivat and Bitef Theater, "Contra Mundum" - Center for Culture Tivat, "Cabaret - The Little Things of Life" - National Theater of Timok Krajina "Zoran Radmilović", Zaječar.
The competitive part of the 45th Bora Theatre Days in Vranje begins on October 21 with the play "Celebration", performed by the "Bora Stanković" Theatre from Vranje. A total of seven plays are participating in the competitive selection: "Silencing Socrates" - Tivat Cultural Centre and Bitef Theatre, Belgrade, "A Bicycle Is Not Death (If They Steal It)" - National Theatre, Belgrade, "People's Representative" - Macedonian National Theatre, Skopje, "The Broken Jug" - National Theatre of the Republic of Srpska, Banja Luka, "Singing and Silence of Sofka Nikolić" - City Theatre "Semberija", Bijeljina, "The Widow of a Living Man" - Zvezdara Theatre, Belgrade.
The play "The Silencing of Socrates" was based on a text by Howard Brenton and directed by Nebojša Bradić, and stars Bojan Dimitrijević, Jugoslav Krajnov, Jelena Stupljanin and Sanja Ristić Krajnov. It has won three awards in its two festival appearances so far.
The ensemble of the play "Contra Mundum" is led by actor Ozren Grabarić, and musical support is provided by: Aljoša Zakić, Đorđe Kujundžić, Kosta Vukašinović, Anja Riđešić, Marko Ćurčić, Nemanja Tasić.
