First solo exhibition of works Tanja Đikanović "Pjaca" will open today in Podgorica, in the lobby of the Cultural and Information Center "Budo Tomović", at 19 p.m.
The exhibition will be opened by a visual artist Milica Saranovic Pajovic and will be on view until November 23. The exhibition, notes Šaranović Pajović, brings colors that flicker like passing voices, the joyful commotion of a Saturday morning, the elusive dance of the world within us and around us.
"In this lively vortex of everyday life, the author finds the rhythm of life that resonates between color and light, noise and silence, the constant bustle of the city and the street, but also the peace of a moment. In Tanja's paintings, everything moves, overflows and collides, but nothing is lost. In the colorful tangled ball of artistic experiment, there is a quiet harmony, a rhythm that is felt even before it is recognized. That rhythm has become the guiding thread of this exhibition," she points out.
Šaranović Pajović states that in her works we recognize the same richness that we find in the market place - liveliness, charm, a joyful collision of diversity, imperfect order.
"The paintings are playful and full of life, like a fan of moments in a day in which everything is possible. In them, you can hear the choir of the strangest conversations, smell the smell of fresh fruit and discern the glimmer of the sun on the faces of passers-by. These paintings were not planned, but experienced. They were created from an impulse, from the need to complement color with voice, to let the hand indulge in uninhibited experience. Tanja's works clearly reflect the wide range of her interests: a translator and educator by profession, as well as a passionate interior designer, restorer, and painter. "Pjaca" is therefore more than a motif. It is a state - a meeting of the inner and the outer, order and unrest, color and emptiness. It is a place where life and art recognize each other," says Šaranović Pajović.
