On the occasion of Montenegro's upcoming chairmanship of the Committee of Ministers of the Council of Europe, the Permanent Mission of Montenegro in Strasbourg and the Public Institution Film Center of Montenegro are planning a series of activities to be implemented between November 2026 and June 2027, with the aim of promoting Montenegrin cinematography and complementary activities that affirm European values.

On the same occasion, on December 3, a meeting was held with the executive director of Eurimages, the Council of Europe's cinematography fund, Suzan Njuman-Bode, which gave full support to the organization of events and activities resulting from Montenegrin membership in this fund, all with the aim of strengthening multilateral cooperation in the field of cinematography and promoting Montenegrin filmmaking and the affirmation of European film co-productions.

It was agreed that in the coming period, in close coordination with the European Audiovisual Observatory and Eurimaž, a program framework will be defined that will include screenings of Montenegrin and co-production films, thematic panel discussions, expert workshops and presentations of good practices, which will further strengthen the position of Montenegrin cinema within the European audiovisual space.
