The literary program of the KIC "Budo Tomović" marked the institution's 60th anniversary last night with the event "Literature under the roof of the Youth Center", which presented the continuity of the literary activities of this institution - from the former Writers' Club to today's Young Writers' Forum.
Through two film reports by the author Valentine Knezevic, editor of the KIC literary program, the audience had the opportunity to learn about the development of the literary scene in this institution since its founding in 1965. The producer of the reportage is Dusan PaunovicThe program pointed out the long-standing role of KIC as an important stronghold of Podgorica's cultural life and a space for continuous support for young authors.
In a conversation led by Valentina Knežević, the program participants Zoran Šoškić i Barbara Delac They spoke about the similarities and differences between the former Writers' Club and the modern Young Writers' Forum, but also about the enduring need of young authors for community, exchange of ideas, and institutional support.
Former KIC director Zoran Šoškić recalled that the Young Writers' Forum was renewed in 2015 as a continuation of the strong literary tradition of this institution, emphasizing that the Writers' Club in its time was much more than a place for poetry – a space for social engagement, ideas, and joint creativity.
Barbara Delac, a member of the Young Writers' Forum, assessed that the first years of the Forum were formative, but that joint work, artistic experimentation and the cultivation of different authorial poetics built the group's recognizable identity. According to her, the Forum today represents a bridge between generations, and in the future it could play a more significant role in bringing contemporary literature closer to young people, including through cooperation with schools.

The program "Literature under the roof of the Youth Center" once again confirmed the importance of the KIC "Budo Tomović" as a place where tradition and contemporary literary creativity meet.
