Among the 39 novels that made it into the wider selection for the 72nd NIN Award are the novels of two authors from Montenegro - "Gods Die a Foolish Death" by Srdan Kosović and "Conversations with a Witch" by Vladimir Vujović.

A total of 195 titles were submitted for the competition for the 72nd NIN Award for Novel of the Year.

The weekly NIN reports on its website that the jury consisting of Aleksandar Jerkov (president), Adrijana Marčetić, Jelena Mladenović, Vladimir Gvozden and Mladen Vesković selected it from a wider selection of 39 novels.

The shortlist will be published in issue 3.915, which will be published on January 6, 2026.
