Film discussions, screenings and numerous informal gatherings from June 16th to 20th will once again transform Slano into a place of meeting, inspiration and creative dialogue among filmmakers, creating a space for the exchange of experiences, ideas, authorial approaches and film sensibilities, announce the organizers of this year's edition of the Slano Film Days event.
The participants of the film talks and workshops for this edition have also been announced, and they are seven directors, as well as seven actresses, one of whom is from Montenegro.
"These are prominent regional film artists whose work marked the past cinematic year and whose achievements are regularly screened and awarded at the world's most important festivals," the statement reads.
Lectures and workshops intended for actors will be attended by seven actresses and actors who have distinguished themselves with their roles in recent film and television productions, according to the organizers. Among the actors is Jelena V. Djukic from Montenegro, who made her television debut in the series “Breasts”, and also starred in the series “Biser Bojane” and “Zbornica”, as well as in the film “Radnička klasa ide u pakao”. She is an alumna of the Talents Sarajevo program.
Among the selected actors are: Dino Bajrovic (Bosnia and Herzegovina), Milica Gojković (Serbia), Kosovar Krasniqi (Kosovo), Tamara Ristoska (North Macedonia), Ana Marija Veselčić (Croatia), Mina Schweiger (Slovenia).
When it comes to directors, there is Sara Stijović from Montenegro.
"Sara Stijović is the first Montenegrin filmmaker selected for the 'La Fabrique Cinéma' program in Cannes. Her short films include 'A Tin of White', 'To Decorate Marble with Flowers' and 'Idiot'. She is an alumna of the 'Sarajevo Talents' and 'Al Jazeera Ambassadors' programs," the statement said.
In addition to Stijović, the following also participate: Bruno Ankovic (Croatia), Igor Bezinovic (Croatia), Stefan Djordjevic (Serbia), Ilir Hasanaj (Kosovo), Ester Ivakič (Slovenia), Georgi M. Unkovski (North Macedonia)...
The event partner is the Sarajevo Film Festival.
