Promotion of the poetry book "Passing Through You" by the author Braco Subotica, organized by the Public Institution National Library "Miroslav Luketić" from Budva, will be held tomorrow in the "D8" amphitheater, Academy of Knowledge, at 19 p.m.
The book was published last year by the publishing house “Ouroboros”, and the author will be discussing poetry and creativity. Đorđe Gregović i Stanka StanojevićThe musical part of the program will feature a mini acoustic concert by the Podgorica alt rock band Vrpac: Milenko (Braco) Subotic (vocals) i Miloš Pejović (guitar).
Braco Subotić, poet and musician, frontman of the band Vrpca, was born in Titograd in July 1978. He published his first songs in 1996, and in 1998 he founded his first musical group, QTERA, which was active intermittently until 2011, and in 2012 the band Vrpca was founded, which continues to exist. During the years of his musical career, Subotić somewhat put poetry in the background in terms of publishing and public presentation, but the words through the tones of his songs summarized the experiences and atmosphere of those years - often not at all pleasant for many. The author himself emphasizes that he wrote as much as he sang. He published two collections of poetry: Prostor zaposjeda tišina (2017) and Prošavši tobom (2024).
He never lost faith in people, and will, effort, and hope are his pillars.
