The play "Bed of Leaves" will have its premiere on Friday, January 30, in Podgorica, in the "Dodest" hall of the "Budo Tomović" Cultural and Information Center, at 20 p.m.
This is a new play by the playwright and director Sandre Vujovic, based on the motifs of the text of the same name by a contemporary author Katarina Nikolic, it is stated in the announcement.
"The play brings a subtle, emotionally powerful and layered stage story about modern man and his inner silence in an era of alienation, deep personal questioning, discovering various layers of personality identity, artificial intelligence, less and less smart people and more and more smart things," the statement says.
Director Vujović adds that the work explores the emotional loneliness of modern urban man.
"It is a question of invisibility within functional relationships and a subtle fracture of identity in a space that is technologically perfect but emotionally empty," says Vujović.
The play features: Milica Kekic, Mirjana Spaic i Djordje Tatić. He signs the music Irena Popovic Dragovic. The stage space is in charge of Dawn Baković i Boris Vukezic, and for visual identity, costume, photography and graphic design Danica Jankovic.
"'Bed of Leaves' is an intimate, poetic and emotionally precise theatrical form that opens up a space of love, vulnerability and recognition, but also invites the audience to confront their own absences, needs and unspoken feelings," the statement from KIC added.
The project "Bed of Leaves" is being implemented in co-production with "Bunt scene", "Pygmalion" doo and KIC "Budo Tomović", with the support of the Ministry of Culture and Media of Montenegro, as well as the Secretariat for Culture of the Capital City of Podgorica.
A repeat performance has been announced for Monday, February 2nd, also in the "Dodest" hall, at 7 p.m.
