Concert performance of the opera “The Barber of Seville” (Il Barbiere di Siviglia) Gioacchino Rossini, after the libretto Cesare Sterbini, directed by an Italian director Stefana Ferrare, will be performed on Saturday, February 14th on the Main Stage of the Montenegrin National Theatre, at 20 pm.
On this occasion, a pianist from the Rome Opera will perform. Enrique Ruđero, and the roles are played by: David Peroni, Manuel Amati, Giuseppe Toia, Angela Schisano, Matija Riba i Ivana Canovic.
"Peroni, who plays the main role of the barber, was awarded as a young talent at the Teatro alla Scala last month by the general director Fortunato Ortombina and the most successful baritone of today, Leo Nucci. On that occasion, the Italian media reported on his upcoming performance at our national theater," the announcement from CNP reads.
"The Barber of Seville" is a comic opera in two acts, inspired by the French comedy of the same name. Pierre Beaumarchais from 1775. This is the first time it has been performed in concert form in front of an audience at the Montenegrin National Theatre.
