"Face" is a film about temptation and humanity in the whirlwind of war - a story of face and courage, a family drama with a strong anti-war message based on a true event. The plot is set at the beginning of World War II and follows the fate of a persecuted Orthodox boy whose family is killed by the SS Skanderbeg unit. He finds temporary salvation in the house of a stranger, but it soon turns out that his protector is an Albanian and Muslim named Nur Doka, at a time when name, religion and nation represented a thin line between life and death in the then Yugoslavia. Nur Doka's house is surrounded by the same army that killed the boy's parents, demanding that the child be handed over to them. The host is faced with an impossible choice: to hand over an innocent child to the fascists in order to save his own family or to stand up to the killers and put everything he loves in danger, in an effort to preserve his humanity. At the moment of final decision, not only will the fates of those under his roof be determined, but also the very meaning of the concepts of honor, courage and faith in the darkest of times.
