Exhibition "Imprints of My World" by a multimedia artist Predraga Szilvassyja - TAURUS, will be opened today in Cetinje, at 18 pm in the gallery of the Cultural Center of the Royal Capital of Cetinje.
The exhibition will be opened by an academic painter Jelena Vusurović which will together with Goran Kusovac, manager of program activities of the Cultural Center of the Royal Capital of Cetinje, to talk with the author and thus bring his motives, creative processes that shape his recognizable artistic expression, but also the source of inspiration, closer to those present.
"Along with the works of art, the author's poems will also be presented, which were often the inspiration for their creation," the Cultural Center announced in a statement.
Predrag Szilvassy (1967, Karlovac, Croatia) has had 35 solo and more than 100 group exhibitions in the country and abroad. He studied art at the Art House in Ljubljana, and today lives and works between Slovenia and Croatia.
"His distinctive artistic expression is shaped by the symbolism of the four elements - Earth, Fire, Water and Air - as well as the strong relief and layering of the surface. Combining acrylic, varnishes, gold and silver leaf, bitumen, shellac and collage, Szilvassy creates richly textured paintings at the intersection of abstraction and figuration, while portraiture holds a special place in his oeuvre," his biography highlights.
More recently, the artist has also expressed himself through sculpture and graphics, confirming his multimedia approach to art.
The exhibition will be open until February 28th.
