Prominent guitarist Adnan Ahmedić will present himself to the audience in Kotor for the first time today, with the concert "Mediterranean Fusion". The audience can enjoy the sounds of his classical guitar in the Music Hall of the Cultural Center "Nikola Đurković" at 20 pm, and admission is free.
The concert program includes works by old masters such as Bach and David Kellner, Spanish composers from the Impressionist era, Greek authors, as well as arrangements of pop and film music, the statement said. The organizers added that the audience will also have the opportunity to hear interpretations of traditional music from the Balkans.
Adnan Ahmetić was born in Sarajevo and began studying guitar with the eminent guitarist and pedagogue Ivan Kalčina. He completed his classical guitar studies in 2002 at the Prajner Conservatory in Vienna. During his career, he has performed throughout Europe and Asia, and in China, in addition to a concert tour, he represented the culture of Bosnia and Herzegovina at the international "17+1 Summit". He has released the albums "Fiesta", "Solo & Chamber" and "Mediterranean Fusion".
"His repertoire ranges from Baroque to contemporary music, including compositions by Greek authors and traditional Balkan music, for which he creates his own transcriptions. He is also particularly active in the field of chamber music, performing in collaboration with piano and voice," his biography states.
