Theater play "Pokondirena tikva", based on the text Jovan Sterija Popović, produced by the Timok Region National Park "Zoran Radmilović" from Zaječar, will be performed tonight at 20 pm in the large hall of the Cultural Center in Tivat.
The adaptation and direction for this play is by Olivera Viktorović Đurašković, while the cast consists of: Natasa Petrovic, Ivana Bartunjek, Predrag Grbic, Aleksandra Manasijevic, Branislav Mijatovic, Olivera Viktorovic Djuraskovic, Milos Tanaskovic, Gabrijel Becarevic.
“Every time has its 'pokondirena tikva', and so our time has its 'pokondirena tikva', whether they are in male or female form,” says the director of this play. For her, Sterija's "Pokondirena tikva" is a smart comedy from which a moral lesson is drawn, and the theater in which this play is staged is characterized by good theatrical energy and a valuable ensemble. “I am absolutely sure that these are timeless comedies. So many years have passed since the deaths of Nušić and Sterija, and their comedies and the problems they treat in them are their experiences from that time that have been humorously transferred to the stage. Now the same thing is happening but in a different packaging, so there are as many Fema and ministers as you want,” believes Olivera Viktorović Đurašković.
