A special film screening, marking the 25th anniversary of the premiere of the cult film "The Lord of the Rings", will be held today at the Danilovgrad Cultural Center, at 18 p.m., and admission is free.
The evening for all fans of epic fantasy is organized by the Cultural Center, in cooperation with the Danilovgrad 1 Local Community Council.
"At the initiative of the Danilovgrad 1 Community Council, and with the support of the Danilovgrad Cultural Center, it was agreed to mark this significant anniversary with a screening of the first part of the trilogy of the film 'The Fellowship of the Ring', which has marked generations of viewers and become an indispensable part of film history," the statement reads.
The announcement says that visitors can expect an evening filled with adventure, friendship, and a legendary story that has lasted for a quarter of a century.
"We invite all fans of film, fantasy and good atmosphere to join us and return together to the magical world of Middle-earth. Welcome to a memorable film evening," the announcement from the Danilovgrad Cultural Center states.
The film series is based on the book of the same name. Tolkien novels, and directed Peter Jackson. Even after 25 years, the films that follow “The Fellowship of the Ring” remain among the most influential and greatest achievements ever made, especially in the context of the genre, but also the trilogy. In addition to enormous profits, each of the films has also won a series of awards and nominations for the highest honors in the cinematography industry.
A few days ago, a famous Hollywood actor Urgent Makalen, has confirmed that he will be Gandalf in the film “The Lord of the Rings: The Hunt for Gollum”, because “no one else can be Gandalf”. Filming of the new adventure film from the popular series is set to begin in July in New Zealand.
