Famous writer and playwright Božo Koprivica has died at the age of 76 in Belgrade, Antena M reports.

Koprivica was born in Nikšić in 1950.

He graduated in world literature from the Faculty of Philology in Belgrade.

He was a playwright by invitation, at the Yugoslav Drama Theatre, the National Theatre, the Bitef Theatre, the Zvezdara Theatre, the Royal Theatre "Zetski dom", the Montenegrin National Theatre and the "Grad Teatar" festival in Budva.

Koprivica was the president of the jury for the NIN award.

He has published the books Volley and Hearing, Time of Words, Conversations with Borislav Pekić, Kiš, Borges, Maradona, Dribbling 1001 Nights, Only Gods Can Promise, Danilo Kiš Practice Book, The Madman is an Eternal Child and The Crazy Book.

He edited the Collection on Danilo Kiš for the magazine Ars. He was a member of the editorial board of the literary and cultural magazine Fokalizator.

Koprivica is also a father of two daughters. He lived and worked in Belgrade.
