Young Montenegrin artist Katarina Perić Last night, the audience had the opportunity to get to know her through her first solo exhibition of paintings entitled "My First Flight", held at the "Podgorica" hotel. A total of 25 works were exhibited, which, as the author points out, mostly come from the last two years of her creative work, although she has been professionally engaged in painting for eight years.

"In my paintings, you can mostly see the beauty of Montenegro. However, at one point, the motif of wings emerged in my work, and these wings even permeate the landscapes of Montenegro. My paintings are permeated with expressionism and symbolism, strong brushstrokes and bright colors. I mainly use acrylic on canvas, but there is also a combined 3D technique with materials from nature and construction materials. I use everything I have at hand and I try to make something big out of something small," said Perić.

The opening of the exhibition was attended by a large number of art lovers, who had the opportunity to enjoy the expressive colors, emotional motifs, and unique symbolism of the author.

"This exhibition means a big step forward in my painting career for me, it means the courage to show who I really am, without any filters, without any reservations. I have been creating exactly what I feel all these years. I believe that art has the power to move us, to connect us even in those moments when we do not speak the same language. I hope that you will all find something of your own in these paintings. I would like you to convey one simple but very important message tonight, and that is that in life, no matter what situation you find yourself in, you must move forward, not to forget yourself and what moves you," said Perić.

Academic painter Jelena Vusurović She pointed out that Katarina's work goes beyond the superficial aesthetic dimension and explores deeper ontological themes.

"The creativity of our young Katarina should not be viewed exclusively through the prism of figuration or mere aesthetics of beauty. Her work represents a deep ontological exploration of the relationship between the eminent – such as landscapes, land and matter – and the transcendental – such as wings, flight and spirit," emphasized Vušurović. In the coming days, visitors will have the opportunity to experience an emotional and visual story that combines Montenegrin landscapes with the symbolism of freedom and personal expression.
