The event titled “With Pen as Sword” will mark 32 years of existence and work of the “Most” gallery on Saturday, April 11th in Podgorica. On that occasion, an exhibition of caricatures will be opened Luke Lagator i Darko Drljević, famous Montenegrin and world artists, right in the "Most" gallery at 19 pm, announced the program editor Dragan Mitov Đurović.
"For three decades and two springs, the annals of cultural heritage have been heartily written by the first Montenegrin private gallery, the 'Most' Gallery. Painters, sculptors, musicians, writers, poets, actors, caricaturists, satirists, young and renowned artists - the doors have been open to all," the accompanying text emphasizes.
Darko Drljević and Luka Lagator, with around 500 international awards and hundreds of solo and collective exhibitions, are prominent representatives and bridges of Montenegrin culture to the world, the announcement stated.
"The Sisyphean 'stone of wisdom' has been carried for six decades, pearls in paintings, caricatures, performances are given, awakened and admonished by an artist of a special style, strength and talent - Luka Lagator. In the anthology, however, the world's caricatures have special pages for arrows from the 'master's workshop,' which hit the sad reality in the strict center harder than a grenade, which is changed by the brave pen - Darko Drljević. Together, with a pen as a sword - with a picture without words, they say everything," the statement emphasizes.
The “Most” Gallery was founded by Branko Kovačević in 1994, as the first private one in Montenegro. Since then until today, “Most” has been connecting and connecting, writing pages of the history of Montenegrin culture, overcoming challenges and surpassing possibilities.
