Montenegrin documentary film "Avalanche Man" dedicated to the legendary To Dragoljub Đuričić was awarded at this year's edition of the ZagrebDox festival in Zagreb.

Documentary directed by Slobodanka Radun won the HRT Audience Award for Best Regional Film.

The film was realized with the support of the Film Center of Montenegro, in co-production with RTCG, and with the support of the Municipality of Herceg Novi, the Royal Capital of Cetinje, and the Secretariat for Culture of the Capital City of Podgorica.

After successful festival and cinema distribution across the region and the international scene, the film continued its festival life by arriving in Zagreb. Since its premiere in August 2025 at the 38th Montenegro Film Festival in Herceg Novi, "Avalanche Man" has recorded a significant presence at numerous relevant festivals, including Dok'n'Ritam and March Festival in Belgrade, Mojkovac Film Autumn, Tuzla International Documentary Film Festival, Eastern Neighbors Film Festival in The Hague, CINEDAYS in Skopje, as well as Chicago Serbian Film Fest, and Balkan Nordic Film Festival in Stockholm.

"The film also had successful regional theatrical distribution in Montenegro in cooperation with the Cinema Screeners Network, as well as in North Macedonia in cooperation with the Macedonian Cinematheque, and through screenings in Serbian cultural centers (Niš, Novi Sad and Čačak), confirming a strong connection with audiences across the region," the statement said.

The quality of the film has also been recognized through other significant awards: the Special Jury Award at the Dok'n'Ritam Festival in Belgrade, the Special Award for Directing at the Mojkovac Film Autumn, as well as the award for best documentary film at the Chicago Serbian Film Fest.
