"Tabula rasa" by Ivana Radovanović at the "Terra" exhibition

Montenegrin artist Ivana Radovanović will be presented at the jubilee exhibition "Terra - a pearl of mud", which marks the 45th anniversary of the International Symposium of Terracotta Sculpture "Terra" from Kikinda and the five years of the existence of Belgrade's Silos, where the exhibition will open today.

"I am particularly honored that my work 'Tabula Rasa' (2022) has been included in this significant retrospective exhibition, opened in the space of the former grain mill in the Port of Belgrade," Radovanović emphasized.

The exhibition presents a selection of terracotta sculptures created during the almost half-century existence of the Terra Symposium. Almost 700 square meters of exhibition space presents a chronological overview of works created from 1982 to 2025, through the works of artists from Serbia and numerous countries around the world.

“The work 'Tabula rasa' is part of this significant exhibition that testifies to the rich heritage of the Terra Symposium and its important role in the development of contemporary sculpture on the international art scene,” Radovanović emphasized.

The exhibition includes 52 sculptures by artists from 47 countries. In addition to Radovanović, the exhibition presents works by artists of different generations and poetics, including: Olga Jevric, Mira Brtka, Slobodan Kojic and Miroslava Kojic, Ratko Gikic, Kosta Bogdanovic, Olga Jancic, Vesna Perunovic, Igor Antic, Olivera Parlic Karajankovic, Stevan Kojic, Jeroen Meijer, Angelo Roseti, Yasuo Kuwahara, Mustafa Skopljak, Yuri Tkachenko, Yin Xiaofeng and numerous others.

"Being part of this representative exhibition is a great professional recognition and a special pleasure, considering the international reputation that the Terra Symposium has built over its many years of activity. The Terra Collection today has more than 1.200 works and is considered the largest collection of large-format contemporary terracotta sculpture in the world," said Radovanović.

Over the decades of its existence, "Terra" has become a meeting place for artists of different cultures, poetics and experiences, confirming the universal power of art to connect people, ideas and spaces, the artist added.

"The exhibition 'Terra - a pearl of mud' is not only a review of exceptional artistic achievements created from a unique material, clay from the Kikinda region, but also a testimony to the durability of artistic ideas, creativity and cultural dialogue between peoples," says Ivana Radovanović.
