The play "The Epiphany", based on the text Matija Bećkovića, directed and adapted Ana Đorđević, will be performed at the Park Hall in Herceg Novi tomorrow at 21 p.m. village.
This is a demanding artistic endeavor and the first theatrical adaptation of Bećković's works, and the author team opted for the poems "The Epiphany", "The Knife", "This and That" and the essay "About Fools", works that originally, but also in a dramatic format, bring an anti-war message, pointing out the tragedy of the divisions in our region, the complexity of interpersonal relationships, but also the individual's relationship to God.
"At the time of the Epiphany I wake up, a coward, I am overcome with grief, and I think: what if, God forbid, God appears?" is a line from the poem of the same name that runs as a leitmotif throughout the play. In this sense, it also appears as the source from which the dramatic developments and personal dilemmas of the characters emerge, which are convincingly portrayed by the actors. Personal transformation in this play is presented in a profound and convincing way as a path to overcoming the heavy burden of the past, with all the individual and collective trials that such a striving entails, which is a current message and a possible path not only in the Balkans, but also in a broader, global context.
