The 25th anniversary edition of the KotorArt Festival will be held from July 13 to August 16 at 12 locations in Kotor and Boka Bay, where the audience will have the opportunity to follow 34 main and 28 supporting programs with the participation of artists from 16 countries.
The festival will open on July 13th at the Square in front of the Cathedral of Saint Tryphon with a concert featuring the Montenegrin premiere of the monumental work "Triptych". Ivo Brkanovic and the world premiere of the composition "Songs to Music" Mladena Tarbuka, based on verses by Don Branka Sbutega.
General and artistic director of KotorArt Ratimir Martinović announced a rich musical program as part of Don Branko's Days of Music, which includes three symphony orchestra concerts, two chamber operas, 11 chamber concerts and recitals, four jazz concerts and a choir performance.
Among the most significant events are the premieres of the operas "The Maid of the Master", produced by KotorArt, the Kotor Cultural Center, Porto Montenegro and the Tivat Cultural Center, and the opera "The Island" Irene Popovic, created in co-production with the Podgorica City Theater and the Music Center of Montenegro.
The audience will have the opportunity to listen to renowned world artists, including cellist Alexander Knyazev, pianist Alexei Volodin, Janoška ensemble, Chinese pianist Siheng Song, as well as numerous domestic performers and young talents.
In addition to music, the festival brings theater performances, literary evenings, philosophical debates and educational programs. Special emphasis is placed on working with young people through master classes and the Academy for Creative Producers, which this year brought together 34 participants from the region and Europe.
President of the Municipality of Kotor Vladimir Jokic assessed that KotorArt represents the most important cultural program in Montenegro and emphasized that the Municipality will continue to be one of the key partners of the festival. Support for the anniversary was also provided by the Ministry of Culture and Media, which emphasized that KotorArt has made an immeasurable contribution to the development of Montenegrin culture, the affirmation of artists and the connection of the domestic scene with the international cultural space over the past 25 years.
The new edition of KotorArt brings special programs for children and youth. After 60 years, the work Vide Matjan"Puppet Clinic" will be performed with the Boka Kotorska Symphony Orchestra quintet, Angel Homen which is a conductor and students from all three Boka towns, in cooperation with the Museums of Kotor and Dejan ĐonovićAlso, as part of KotorArt, the Montenegrin Symphony Orchestra will perform Prokofiev's "The Pit and the Wolf".
In addition to the musical program, this year KotorArt brings numerous attractive programs within the Kotor Art Theatre, Book Square, Philosopher's Square and the Kotor Art Academy.

The Book Market will present the contemporary literary scene of Montenegro with participants such as: Danko Ivanović, Ilija Đurović, Stefan Bošković i Jasmine Bajo, a major publication entitled "Don Branko" will be promoted, and the third evening of the literary program is intended for the promotion of a monograph that summarizes what KotorArt has achieved in these quarter centuries.
The debate program will be hosted by Paola Petricevic, professor of philosophy at a new location in the Courtyard of the Mazarović Palace in Perast.
