Ana Rucner's concert tonight at "Barski ljetopis"

As part of the music program of the 39th "Bar Chronicle" festival, world-famous Croatian cellist Ana Rucner will perform tonight at 21 pm on the Summer Stage of the Cultural Center.

This was announced today by the Public Institution (PU) Cultural Center Bar.

"At the Bar concert, Rucner will perform unique, modern arrangements of some of the world's most famous and influential compositions. The repertoire will include the iconic 'Carmina Burana' by Carl Orff, Ravel's timeless 'Bolero', as well as Piazzolla's passionate 'Libertango'. The concert will be given a special touch by masterful performances of Beethoven's 'Moonlight Sonata', as well as his famous 'Ode to Joy'. The audience can also expect a dynamic fusion of traditional sounds through the fiery rhythms of the Greek Sirtaki by Mikis Theodorakis, the Russian folk song 'Kalinka', as well as her authentic, expressive interpretation of the famous Macedonian folk song 'Jovano, Jovanke', which best reflects her talent for the synthesis of classical, folk and modern expression," the statement says.

Ana Rucner (Zagreb, February 12, 1983) is one of the most innovative musicians on the regional and global scene. She has become recognizable to the general public for her unique musical expression in which she combines classical compositions with elements of traditional and modern music with exceptional success. Her approach to the cello is characterized by perfect technical precision interwoven with modern rhythms and a visually striking performance, which makes her concerts an unforgettable audio-visual experience. Through an authentic synthesis of different musical genres, Rucner manages to bring classical music closer to the widest circle of listeners, while maintaining the highest artistic standards of performance.

"Recognized for her incredible energy and specific style, this virtual artist brings a concert spectacle that pushes the boundaries of the traditional experience of classical instruments. Admission to the concert is free," said the Cultural Center of Bar.
