KotorArt represents the future of the Montenegrin music scene

This year, the KotorArt International Festival continues to promote young artists through the KotorArt Talents series, giving them the opportunity to present their talent and artistic expression. With their knowledge, dedication and exceptional artistic qualities, they represent the future of the Montenegrin music scene. In this spirit, tomorrow, July 20, at 21 p.m., a concert of the best students of the Music Academy of the University of Montenegro from Cetinje will be held in the Church of the Holy Spirit.

The concert will feature three prominent Academy students: guitarist Stefan Kostić, pianist Lucija Ulićević and an accordionist Lazar Janjušević.

Stefan Kostić will perform Bach's Partita in A minor BWV 1013, transcribed for guitar by Tilman Hopstock, as well as the composition Pored Generalifea Joaquin Rodrigo. Lucija Ulićević will present herself with a performance of Beethoven's Sonata in A flat major, op. 26, while Lazar Janjušević will perform the composition Conversation between the muse by Jean-Philippe Rameau, as well as Sonata No. 4 by Anatoly Kusyakov and the third movement of Sonata No. 1 by Alexander Nagayev.

"KotorArt has been nurturing partnership relations with numerous cultural and educational institutions in Montenegro for years, based on the belief that networking, synergy and joint action contribute to the development of cultural life and the creation of new opportunities for young artists," the Festival's public relations department points out.

The Academy of Music of the University of Montenegro, based in Cetinje, is the largest and most important higher education music educational institution in the country. For more than four decades, it has been educating generations of artists and pedagogues, following contemporary trends in music pedagogy and artistic practice. Its mission is based on the advancement of knowledge, artistic creativity and openness to cooperation with similar institutions in the country and abroad.
