The film "It Still Grows Here" at the development program in Požega

Feature documentary film "It Still Grows Here" by a Montenegrin director Aleksa Bujišić and producer Milan Radulović, has been selected for the first edition of the Interaction: DocuConnect Balkans - Regional Workshop for Documentary Project Development program, which will be held in Požega from August 21st to 25th.

Through consultations with experienced mentors from Europe and the region, Bujišić, together with other directors, will have the opportunity to develop the theme, structure, artistic approach and other creative elements of his documentary film, while the producers will simultaneously work on production strategy, financing, regional and international co-production opportunities, distribution and project positioning...

"The idea for the film came about during a stay at the DoKKu@FeKK workshop in Ljubljana last year, and it follows a story between apartment blocks and an indoor stadium. On a piece of land that still breathes, a group of people daily guard the gardens from oblivion, noise, and plans that threaten them," the statement reads.

The film "It's Still Growing Here" is being produced by "ABA Film", and the co-producer on the project is Janez Kovic, "Studio Arkadena".

Aleksa Bujišić was born in Pljevlja in 2001. He graduated from the Faculty of Design and Multimedia, Film and Media Department, at the University of Donja Gorica. During 2022, as part of the Erasmus+ program, he lived and studied in Athens, at the University of West Attica, Department of Photography and Audiovisual Arts. He enrolled in the Master's degree in Film and TV Directing in 2023 at the Faculty of Dramatic Arts in Cetinje. He completed his last semester of studies at the Academy of Performing Arts in Bratislava. During his studies, he made five short films that were screened at regional and international festivals. He is an alumni of the Reykjavik Talent Lab program, Jugendfilmtage camp and FIFF Talent camp in Iran. He is currently engaged as an associate at the Faculty of Design and Multimedia.

Milan Radulović was born in Nikšić in 1999. He completed his undergraduate studies at the University of "Donja Gorica", majoring in Film and Media, while he completed his master's studies in the field of TV and film production at the London Film School. During his work so far, he has participated in the realization of more than 20 short films, building experience in the production and organization of film projects. His films have been screened at several regional and international festivals, including Sarajevo FF, Beldocs IDFF, Riga IFF, Herceg Novi FF and UnderhillFest.
