The International Puppetry Festival Podgorica, Montenegro 2026 will be held in Podgorica, from September 2nd to 5th, at the Cultural and Information Center "Budo Tomović", as part of the Podgorica Cultural Summer.
This year's 13th edition of the festival features six theaters from six countries: Bulgaria, Brazil, North Macedonia, Italy, Serbia and Montenegro.
The participants of the Festival are: the State Puppet Theatre “Trgovište” with the play “Karlson”, “Cia casa Passarinha” Sao Paolo with the play “Letimo bez krila”, IN Albanian Theatre for Children and Youth, Skopje, with the play “Fable with the Fox”, Nina Theatre, Monopoli, with the play “Do it with all your heart”, Theatre for Children and Youth Kragujevac, with the play “Alice’s Dreams”, as well as the Cultural Centre of Berane, with the play “Žižula and čičak”.
The performances will be performed, in addition to Podgorica, in Zeta and Tuzi, announced the Children's Cultural Center, which is organizing the event.
The festival is competitive, and the awards will be decided by an international expert jury, as well as a children's jury, composed of elementary school students from Podgorica.
