The highest salary in November was EUR 77.743 gross or EUR 43.924 net, and it was paid to an employee in the sector of providing consulting services in the field of information technology, the Tax Administration (PU) informed "Vijesta".
According to the data available to the PU on December 9 this year, the highest gross salary calculated for some of the tax periods from January to the end of November this year was EUR 307,67 thousand (net amount EUR 173,83 thousand), and it was paid in construction project development activities.
PU data show that last year the highest gross salary calculated for some of the tax periods was 309,42 thousand euros (net 174,82 thousand). Those earnings were paid in the hotel sector (in the Bepler and Jacobson company).
"It should be emphasized that the mentioned amounts were paid only in one month, so it cannot be concluded that it is a regular monthly income of the employees. It is about severance pay, bonus or some other form of personal income, although they are entered in the IOPPD form under the code 1-earnings, so they are kept as such in the PU system", said the state institution.
Average earnings without taxes and contributions in October, according to the latest Monstat data, amounted to 502 euros and were 0,2 percent higher than in September. The average gross salary was 754 euros.
Average wages without taxes and contributions in October increased compared to September in the sectors of agriculture, forestry and fishing by 6,1 percent, administrative and auxiliary service activities by 3,9 percent, accommodation and food services by 3,2 percent, financial and insurance activities by two percent.
Growth was also recorded in the sectors construction 1,7 percent, water supply, waste water management, control of waste removal processes and similar activities 1,5 percent, other service activities 1,4 percent, supply of electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning 0,3 percent, retail and wholesale trade 0,3 percent, state administration and defense 0,2 percent and education 0,2 percent.
Earnings fell in the field of real estate business by 11,8 percent, information and communications by 3,6 percent, processing industry by 2,3 percent, mining and quarrying by 1,5 percent, professional, scientific and technical activities by 1,3 percent, art, entertainment and recreation 0,7 percent...
