The legal deadline in which Adiko Bank and factoring company Heta had to convert loans in Swiss francs into euros expired yesterday.

For now, there is no precise data on how many conversions have been made. The lawyer of the Center for Consumer Protection Dragomir Ćalasan told "Vijesta" that he will have more detailed information in the coming days.

According to the data that Adiko Bank recently communicated to "Vijesti" until November 9, out of 107 clients who exercised their rights based on amendments to the law, 63 lots were processed and paid out, which is more than half. The application of new legal solutions will cost the bank around one million euros.

On September 5, the Assembly unanimously adopted amendments to the Law on the Conversion of Loans in Swiss Francs to Euros with amendments that enabled the conversion of loans transferred by Adiko Bank (formerly Hypo Alpe Adria) to Heta and loans that were previously repaid in order to returned to customers the part they subscribed to.

The law entered into force at the end of September, and on November 23 the legal deadline for the conversion to be completed expired.

Adiko banka and Heta must calculate all loans at an annual interest rate of 8,2 percent and cannot calculate default interest.
