They added that the privatization of the Port of Bar is not express, nor will it be done overnight, while all legal procedures will be followed.

"All legal procedures will be followed and no matter how hateful it sounds to some - the privatization process will be completely transparent. Luka Bar, as they said, is not being sold like other companies, because its activity is being sold, not the majority package of shares.
"We are optimistic about the privatization process that we have started. Privatization is entered into with the aim of increasing the volume of transshipment and conquering new markets. We need a partner ready to invest in new and modern equipment and machines, in the development and education of human resources", according to the Municipal Board of DPS.
The Port of Bar, as they added, has a number of comparative advantages compared to all other ports in the region, but they have not been fully utilized.
"The only criterion when choosing a buyer will be the fulfillment of strictly prescribed conditions in the publicly announced tender. And we openly say that it will be for the good of the Port, Bar and the state, and of course the port workers who have been employed in the Port for generations", the DPS stated.
The Bar Municipal Board DPS said that the interest of international companies and investors is great.
"The Port Union of Bar is involved in the privatization process through permanent cooperation. Every item of the Collective Agreement is being taken care of, and will be taken care of," the announcement concludes.
