Ivanović: I like direct contact with agricultural producers

Direct and open contact with agricultural producers is an opportunity to present future plans and new projects, which will contribute to the long-term development of agriculture in Kotor, announced the Deputy Prime Minister, Petar Ivanović.

At the forum held in Grblje, he said that through a direct and open conversation, opinions should be exchanged, new ideas, projects and proposals should be heard, especially in view of the drafting of the agricultural budget for the following year.

As announced by the Government Public Relations Service, the forum was organized by the Municipality of Kotor at the initiative of its president, Aleksandar Stjepčević, whose goal is to discuss issues of communal infrastructure and agricultural development as one of the resources of the place in direct contact with the residents of Grblje. .

Ivanović stated that the main idea of ​​the meeting was to open the topic of long-term development of agriculture in Kotor, especially in Grblje, and to point out the projects that should be pushed, especially in the field of water supply.

"I like direct contact with agricultural producers. I heard several interesting proposals that should be considered", said Ivanovic.

He added that, when it comes to agricultural production, the focus of the conversation was on the cultivation of peaches, tomatoes and olives, as well as on the geographical protection of the famous Grbalje tomato.

When it comes to water management, Ivanovic stated that there are several villages that need to be supported in the coming period in order to put the existing waterworks into operation or build new ones.

"However, the most important part of the forum and what makes it a special meeting is a very open dialogue. That's why I am grateful to all the participants of the forum for the fair and constructive exchange of ideas," said Ivanovic.

Stjepčević said that the meeting also discussed investment in infrastructure in the area of ​​Grblje, as well as possible prerequisites for the development of agriculture.

"I am extremely satisfied with the meeting. Ivanovic responded to the invitation and that is why I am very grateful," said Stjepčević.

Such gatherings should, as he stated, be organized more often, because interaction with citizens gives many ideas related to improving the quality of life in certain areas.

The president of the Radanovići local community, Perivoje Radanović, announced that everyone was pleasantly surprised by the presentation of Ivanović, who has an extraordinary knowledge of agricultural issues not only in Grblje, but throughout the country.

"We had a constructive conversation and I hope it will produce results," Radanović said.

The President of the Kotor Development and Construction Directorate, Ivo Magud, said that the comments, suggestions and proposals of the present citizens will significantly define the development plans of the Municipality of Kotor for the next year, primarily those that concern the preparation of the budget for the next year, in the part of agricultural activity.

"On the other hand, it is very important to define the positions in the spatial planning program for the next year that concern the improvement of communal infrastructure, that is, roads, water supply, public lighting and the like," concluded Magud.
