The blockade of the roundabout in the Zabjelo neighborhood of Podgorica by former workers of the Podgorica aluminum plant (KAP) who are demanding severance pay was ended after 12 minutes by themselves after a second police warning to remove them from the roadway.
They blocked the Jadranska magistrala and the roundabout in the Zabjelo neighborhood of Podgorica around 11 a.m. today by walking through pedestrian crossings along the road to Nikšić and Bar.
About 10 cars and two trucks were "trapped" in the roundabout.
Dissatisfied KAP pensioners have been protesting for five months because, in accordance with the Law on Settlement of Obligations, the Government is not paying them EUR 5,45 million in severance pay.
The police intervention unit was located at a distance of about 50 meters from the roundabout.
At 11.08:XNUMX a.m., police commander Darko Knežević issued the first warning to KAP pensioners and their authorized representative, Nikola Raković, to remove themselves from the street, because their gathering is prohibited in accordance with the Law on Public Gatherings, and that they will be physically forced to remove them instead. , by means of coercion.
This was the 3rd blockade of the Jadranska magistrala in the last month.
