The government has decided to grant a new concession for holding special games of chance in the casino hotel "Maestral" in Budva, which is run by Greek businessman Petros Statis and controversial businessman and gambler from Malaysia with Montenegrin passport Vei Seng Pua. Two million euros should be paid to the state for the new concession.
The executive power authorized the Director of the Gaming Authority, Milena Savović Baptista, to sign the concession agreement with the concessionaires. At the session yesterday, the State Commission was appointed for the review of the conceptual project for the section of the highway from Mateševo to Andijevica and for the section from Smokvac to Farmak, which will have 23 members and for whose work 603,9 thousand euros will be allocated. The commission will be chaired by Professor Mladen Ulićević.
The Government's appointment decision states that the Commission's work is considered a business secret and no member has the authority to disclose any information related to the scope of its work.
"Funds for the work of the Commission are provided from the capital budget of the Ministry of Transport and Maritime Affairs. The total amount of funds needed for the commission's work is 11 percent of the total cost of creating the conceptual design for the Mateševo-Andrijevica section and the Smokovac-Farmaci section of the Bar-Boljare highway. Based on the total price of 5,49 million, it amounts to 603,9 thousand euros. The president and members of the commission during the entire period of engagement in the commission must have professional liability insurance for the insured risk of 200 euros each," the decision reads.
The president, members and secretary of the commission conclude a contract with the Ministry of Transport and Maritime Affairs as an investor, which more closely regulates the dynamics and method of payment of contracted funds and other mutual rights and obligations. The commission will perform tasks in accordance with the law on planning and spatial planning and in accordance with the highway law. A member of the commission may hire one or more persons for additional assistance in case of need, based on the prior consent of the president of the commission.
1 million euros will be paid by the state company Pošta Crne Gore to the giro account of the state budget, it is the Government's decision. The government has given consent for the state-owned company Montekargo to borrow in the amount of one million euros per year at an interest rate of 4,95 percent. That money will be used to settle Montekargo's due obligations and the monthly installment will be around 43 thousand euros.
