The Management Board of the Employment Service (ZZZ) made a decision today on the distribution of a grant of two million euros to support 53 projects of professional rehabilitation, active employment policy and employment of persons with disabilities, the ZZZ announced.
It is clarified that all participants of the public call, which lasted from November 3 to 23, received grants.
The head of the Fund for Professional Rehabilitation and Employment of Persons with Disabilities, Slavica Radusinović, said that there were no objections to the commission's decision, and that everyone confirmed that they were satisfied with the written consent.
ZZZ said that they will receive the first tranche of one million euros immediately.
"With the achieved partnership of the private, public and civil sectors, activities for 311 persons with disabilities will be implemented through the programs, and 204 or 65 percent of them will be employed for a period of three to 12 months, which fully achieves the objectives of the call," he says. in the announcement.
The Commission for the Evaluation of Project Proposals, it is added, stated that 53 project proposals were submitted to the call for grants in the total amount of 2.337.647,19 euros.
"After consideration and evaluation of the applications, the Commission proposed the allocation of grants for the implementation of 39 projects, in the total amount of 1.770.772,99 euros", specified the ZZZ.
Other proposals, as stated, imply the implementation of project activities for 84 persons with disabilities, with the aim of increasing their employability, which partially achieve the objectives of the call.
It was announced that the Commission proposed that, within the remaining funds in the amount of 229.227 euros, those projects would also be financially supported by awarding 40 percent of the requested grant.
In this way, as assessed, a high degree of utilization of the available funds for the implementation of the public call is achieved.
At the meeting of the Management Board, it was added, the allocation of non-refundable 23.198 euros for adjusting the workplace and working conditions for the employment of nine persons with disabilities was approved.
The director of the ZZZ, Vukica Jelić, emphasized that the ZZZ is the first service from the state sector to adopt the Internal Book of Procedures, which the Management Board was informed about.
She specified that the Law on the System of Internal Financial Controls in the Public Sector and the Rulebook on the Method and Procedure for Establishing and Implementing Financial Management and Controls defined the obligation of ZZZ to establish a system of financial management and control.
"This system enables ZZZ to perform its functions in an economical, effective and efficient manner. It also contributes to harmonizing the value of the services that ZZZ provides to its users, on the one hand, and the taxpayers' money, which finances these functions, on the other hand," explained Jelić.
According to her, by establishing a system of internal financial controls in the public sector, responsibility is assumed for the establishment of control mechanisms for monitoring the effective work of ZZZ, efficient management of available funds, risk management and prevention of losses, wastage and abuse of property through alienation, fraud and corruption.
ZZZ said that the Management Board made a decision to direct 50 thousand euros for self-employment.
"This money will be used to finance the creation of ten new jobs in municipalities in the north of the country," the statement said.
It is added that DOO "NewConsulting" was selected as the contractor for the program "Providing specialist training and education in the field of business skills to ZZZ loan beneficiaries."
