Lawyer Dragomir Ćalasan, who represents the citizens who are leading a court case with Hipo Alpe Adria Bank (HAAB) due to loans in Swiss francs, told "Vijesti" yesterday that the Supreme State Prosecutor's Office (VDT) will take the documentation related to those loans from the Central Bank. (CBCG) and factoring company Heta Asset Resolution.
VDT took the documentation from HAAB regarding the loans that the bank granted to Esad Muminović, who recently took his own life because of it.
"I wrote that criminal complaint. As part of the investigative actions in that case, the prosecution took all the documentation. The criminal complaint covers all loans, so the prosecution will also take all other documentation from the CBCG and Heta. I think that the proceedings of the prosecution are a turning point and that individuals in the CBCG will also wonder what they were doing. It is clear that everyone led Muminović to his death by their actions", said Ćalasan.
Yesterday, HAAB did not want to talk about the actions of the prosecution.
DF MP Nebojša Medojević announced a few days ago that since the adoption of the law on the conversion of loans in Swiss francs into euros, two bank clients have taken their own lives, and that several loan beneficiaries have contacted him threatening suicide.
The Center for Consumer Protection, the Assembly and the banking ombudsman are looking for effective implementation of that law, which has not yielded results so far. CBCG will perform another control on how the bank applies this Law, about which it will inform the Parliamentary Committee for Economy.
