After three months of waiting, the board of directors of the Central Clearing Depository Company (CKDD) elected Danil Vujović as the new director of that institution.
The Commission for the Capital Market should also approve the selection.
He will replace Vladimir Kašćelan, who was the director of the CKDD, that is, the former Central Depository Agency, since the establishment of the institution in 2000.
Vujović, the former head of the custody department of NLB Bank, a pre-preferred candidate for the director of CKDD, favored both in the first, failed, and in the second competition by Aleksandar Jovović, who is the owner of the broker-dealer house "Bull and Bear".
The owners of CKDD are the Central Bank, which has 34,99 percent of shares, Crnogorska komercijalna banka 14,99 percent, and "Bull and Bear" 19 percent. Jovović also controls the remaining ownership share of CKDD through related companies and persons Quantum Investments (three percent), Štamprija Obod (2,99 percent) and a hidden custodial account in CKB in which a total of 25 percent of CKDD's ownership is held.
Among the candidates for director in the second competition were former independent MP and presidential candidate Mladen Bojanić, former director of Montenegro Stock Exchange and New Tobacco Combine Dejana Šuškavčević and director of DZU Atlas penzija Danijela Laketić. Veselin Koprivica, an official of Atlas Bank, who previously held the position of director of the Directorate for Regulation of the CBCG, also applied. The financial director of Luka Bar, Nenad Vujanović, was also a participant in the second competition.
Yesterday, after the CKDD thanked him in writing for participating in the competition and announced that he was not selected, Bojanic immediately replied "to the CKDD team, whoever was hiding behind that name - shame on you".
"Not because of the choice of candidates, but because of the unprecedented unprofessionalism and cowardice that you have shown during this process. Ignorant and dutiful, and you will recognize yourself among yourselves, not that you did not deserve to lead such a serious institution, but even a simple grocer would be too much for you , with full respect for the grocers. I wish the employees of CKDD the best of luck in their future work, because with such ignorant people from the Board of Directors, you will need them very much," Bojanić's reply to CKDD, which "Vijesti" had access to, states.
