Societe Generale Group is celebrating 10 years of business in Montenegro, and the bank has decided to mark this jubilee with donations and sponsorship worth 30.000 euros.
"After 10 years of operations in Montenegro, the bank supports the economy and the population of Montenegro 10 times more than in 2005, when Societe Generale Group took over Podgorica banka", the announcement states, adding that this is confirmed by comparative data from 2005 and in 2015
"In 2005, loans amounted to 31 million euros in total, and today they amount to almost 300 million euros. The situation is similar with deposits, in 2005 they amounted to 40 million euros, and today they amount to more than 330 million euros. These numbers are a confirmation of the high confidence of economic entities and the population of Montenegro in Societe Generale Bank Montenegro".
As a sign of gratitude, Societe Generale Bank Montenegro marked the anniversary with donations and sponsorship. Donations, worth 10.000 euros each, are intended for the Clinical Center of Montenegro, the Podgorica Health Center, while the traditional cooperation with the Montenegrin National Theater continued.
Two CTG devices were donated to the Clinic for Gynecology and Obstetrics at the Clinical Center. The devices will improve the monitoring of the development of the fetus during pregnancy, that is, the monitoring of tones and heart actions in babies during pregnancy. Two modern video colposcopes were donated to the health center in Podgorica. In this way, gynecological diagnostics will be significantly improved and will contribute to the prevention of cervical cancer, the announcement states.
With CNP, the bank established a partnership for the first time back in 2011, and today it is an example of quality cooperation between the business sector and cultural institutions.
"The Bank and the Theater provided a special benefit for the bank's clients. The theater will grant a 20 percent discount on the price of tickets to all bank clients who pay for tickets for theater performances with cards issued by Societe Generale Bank Montenegro.
The bank also joined the traditional action of the Central Bank of Montenegro, Savings Week. All babies born between October 31 and November 6, whose parents open a savings account in Societe Generale Bank Montenegro, will be donated 400 euros, of which 200 euros are given by the Central Bank, and 200 euros by Societe Generale Bank Montenegro.
"With its contribution, Societe Generale Group wants to show that it is strategically committed to the Montenegrin market in the long term, therefore, as a responsible member of Montenegrin society, it continues to actively participate and provide support to the population through civil solidarity actions. At the moment of celebrating the jubilee, this is also a way for the Bank to express its readiness to further build a common future with professionalism, dedication, tradition and team spirit," the bank stated.
The bank is the winner of several international and national awards and recognitions, including the Award for Excellence in 2015 and 2012, awarded by the prestigious financial magazine Euromoney, as well as two declarations by The Banker magazine, published by the Financial Times Group in London, for the Bank of the Year in Montenegro, in 2012 and 2014.
