Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev signed today a resolution on extending the food embargo to Albania, Montenegro, Iceland and Liechtenstein, and special conditions were introduced for Ukraine.
The ban on the import of food products has been extended, as explained by the Interfax agency, to countries outside the European Union that supported Western sanctions against Russia.
"Now, to the countries of the European Union, Australia, Canada, Norway and the USA, from which the import of some agricultural products was prohibited in August last year, a number of countries have been added, specifically, Albania, Montenegro, Iceland and Liechtenstein, and special conditions for Ukraine," he said. the Russian Prime Minister, and reminded that those countries had previously joined the EU's decision to extend sanctions against Russia.
The ban on the import of agricultural products from Ukraine will enter into force in 2016, in the event that Kyiv implements the economic part of the agreement on association with the EU, Medvedev specified.
