In the coming period, the government will pay special attention to the Romanian market, bearing in mind the fact that on an annual level, about 20 thousand tourists from Romania visit Montenegro, announced the Minister of Tourism and Sustainable Development, Branimir Gvozdenović.
"The Romanian market is very interesting for us, considering the number of the population that has a habit of traveling, so we will pay special attention to it in the coming period," said Gvozdenović in Bucharest, at the Annual Gathering of Southeast European (SEE) officials.
During his visit to Bucharest, he had a meeting with representatives of Romanian travel agencies and tour operators, where information was exchanged with a view to the possible introduction of a direct airline between Romania and Montenegro, bearing in mind the importance of air connectivity for the development of the tourist destination.
The Ministry of Sustainable Development and Tourism said that the operationalization of the agreement from the meeting in Romania should take place during the next tourist season, with the possibility that some of the activities will be carried out this year as well.
The annual gathering of SEE officials, modeled after the National Prayer Breakfast in Washington, is held every year in one of the countries of the region, was attended by over 100 officials from Europe and the world, with the participation and support of members of the US Congress.
Gvozdenović stated that the organization of such events is important, because they contribute to the promotion of coexistence and tolerance, as well as multinational harmony in the Balkans.
