The German KfW Bank is ready to strongly support the development of Montenegro in the coming period as well, whose successful path in the process of European integration represents a good basis for continued cooperation, representatives of that financial institution announced.
The Prime Minister, Milo Đukanović, met today in Berlin with the director of KfW Bank for Southeast Europe, Kristof Tiskens, and the director of the Department for Infrastructure and Transport, Kirk Mildner.
The Government announced that senior representatives of KfW Bank assessed that the successful cooperation in the previous period is the best recommendation for further support to the economic development of Montenegro, through partnership in the implementation of projects in the field of tourism, infrastructure and energy.
"The dynamic development of Montenegro and the successful path in the process of European integration represent a good basis for continued cooperation", said Tiskens.
Representatives of one of the leading German banks said that KfW is ready to strongly support the development of Montenegro in the coming period.
In this context, opinions were exchanged on the modalities of future cooperation and support for the construction of infrastructure, in accordance with the needs of Montenegro as an elite tourist destination.
Interest was expressed in cooperation in the field of energy and the valorization of Montenegro's significant hydro potential, with KfW representatives highlighting Montenegro's leadership position in the field of energy efficiency.
Prime Minister Đukanović said that Montenegro's cooperation with Germany and its development organizations is extremely important for the social and economic development of Montenegro.
"Fifteen years of cooperation and more than three hundred million euros invested in projects in the field of communal infrastructure, energy and traffic are confirmation of the partnership relationship and Germany's commitment to the development of Montenegro," he said.
