The boss of the Bull and Bear broker-dealer house, Aleksandar Jovović, transferred 11 percent of the 25 percent ownership in the Central Depository Clearing Company (CKDD) to the offshore company Alec Investment, while he transferred 14 percent of the CKDD shares to Štamparija Obod from Cetinje, which he also controls. Before these two completed transactions, one of which was on the Montenegro Stock Exchange on the eve of the New Year, 25 percent of CKDD was hidden behind the custody account of Crnogorska kommercielja banka (CKB).
In this way, Jovović fulfilled the legal obligation from Article 365 of the Capital Market Law, which stipulates that if CKDD's shares are held in a custody account, it must be in the name of the custodian. The deadline for fulfilling this obligation expired on Saturday.
According to the latest data from CKDD, the largest number of shares in that company is held by the Central Bank of Montenegro (CBCG) at 34,99 percent. Then follow: Bull and Bear with 19 percent, Štamparija Obod with 16,99 percent, CKB with 14,99 percent, Alec Investment with 11 percent and Quantum Investments with three percent of shares. Until recently, Štamparija Obod had only 2,99 percent of CKDD shares, and Alec Investment was not even among the shareholders.
Regardless of the individual largest ownership of CBCG in this institution, the real boss is Jovović, who controls most of the shares of CKDD, through four related persons.
Proof of this was last year's appointment of the new executive director of CKDD, Danilo Vujović (former head of custody of the NLB bank department), who was chosen by Jovović's will.
