YU Briv took over the best boats from Split Konstruktor

The strongest specialized hydro-construction company in Montenegro, "Yu Briv" from Kotor has significantly increased its fleet of special vessels for carrying out works in the sea and on the coast. At the auction at the Commercial Court in Split, where part of the property of the over-indebted Split construction company "Konstruktor inženjering" was sold, "Yu Briv" bought a tugboat, a barge and so-called self-lifting (jack up) modular barge.

"Yu Briv" is currently engaged in the construction of phase 2 A of the marina for mega-yachts Porto Montenegro, which entails the construction of almost 600 meters of new operational shoreline with a total of 184 new berths.

"In the implementation of this and the planning of other projects, the company's hydro construction fleet was completed with new facilities, so that it now has 15 vessels that enable the most complex hydro construction works to be carried out. "Yu Briv" has positioned itself on the hydro-construction market of Montenegro with its technical-technological and personnel skills, and the plan is to expand the company's activities to our neighboring countries, Albania, Croatia and beyond." ".

In addition to the small, 17-meter tug "Vruljica" built in 1978 in the Netherlands, with a power of 570 horses, "Yu Briv" also bought two modern barges from "Konstruktor Inženjeringa". The working pontoon-barge "Konstruktor I" is 30 meters long and 17 meters wide, has a carrying capacity of 895 tons and serves as a platform for the transport and operation of a heavy construction machine-tracker, weighing about 150 tons, which is placed on the stern of the pontoon, with ballasting bow spaces. The barge is also used for the transport of concrete blocks and similar deck cargo, and for assistance in carrying out maritime works. When it was built in 2006 in the Split shipyard BSO, the "Constructor" paid 600 thousand euros for this barge. A special novelty on the Montenegrin market is the self-lifting so-called jack up barge "Konstruktor II" built in 2008 in the Netherlands. That barge has 4 pylons that support it on the seabed, after which a hydraulic mechanism lifts the entire barge from the sea surface and turns it into a stable working platform.
