The company Azmont Investments, which is building the luxury tourist complex Portonovi in Kumbor, presented the most important construction activities in progress and which will be realized in the next four months through five steps.
Zoran Arsenijević, the director of the construction of the luxury complex Portonovi, announced that the investor has all the necessary permits to carry out the aforementioned works, which include five steps.
"The first step is the removal of the poor-quality surface layer of land that cannot receive direct load from the buildings on an area of 120 square meters, at an average depth of two and a half meters, which amounts to about 300 cubic meters of excavation. In addition to this activity, it is necessary to apply the lowering of the groundwater level by an average of one meter," said Arsenijević.
Arsenijević stated that Azmont wanted to explain the process of preparatory work, so that the public would be familiar with what they do on the field every day.
After that, as he explained, a work platform for heavy machinery should be created by filling gravel material and recycled crushed concrete.
"The next step is the creation of gravel piles up to 15 meters deep. In the fourth step, we will create support structures for slope stabilization from large crushed stone aggregate in metal cages - gabions," said Arsenijević.
After all these preparatory works, about five thousand piles are made and placed at a depth of 25 to 30 meters, which enables the foundation slab to be poured, and then other parts of the construction of the buildings.
Arsenijević stated that Azmont wanted to explain the process of preparatory work, so that the public would be familiar with what they do on the field every day.
"We have witnessed that often objects visible only to the eye are perceived as construction, which is why we should know that equally important processes must be carried out in the preparatory phase in order to ensure the full stability of the future Portonovi tourist resort," said Arsenijević.
The investor started the construction process based on two permits from the Ministry of Sustainable Development and Tourism, which were issued in accordance with the latest amendments to the Law on Spatial Planning and Building Construction.
On the basis of these permits, Azmont Investments started construction of facilities in accordance with the law at the end of August last year and removed all existing facilities, including underground shelters and tanks, materials classified as dangerous for the environment, as well as a large number of unexploded ordnance from the seabed. and did the remediation of the entire complex.
"In accordance with the law, preparatory works include fencing the construction site, relocation of roads and installations, remediation of the terrain, earthworks, installation of temporary buildings, installation of temporary infrastructure," the announcement states.
The process of obtaining building permits for the continuation of the works is, as they announced, being realized at full capacity.
The investor continuously continues construction, carrying out preparatory works.
"Given that the quality of the land, i.e. the conditions for foundation, according to data obtained from geotechnical research, show that extremely large operations are needed to ensure the stability of future buildings, the investor is now carrying out these works and will finish them by June of this year," they said from Azmont.
In the following period, as they announced, tenders will be published for the selection of contractors and subcontractors for earthworks, soil rehabilitation, piling, works along the marina and coastal area, electrical and plumbing and sewage works, as well as walls in the water around the south side beaches.
Azmont reiterated once again that this is a chance for domestic companies to apply and employ their capacities.
The process of obtaining building permits for the continuation of the works is, as they announced, being realized at full capacity.
"It is planned to obtain the first construction permits in June, which is in accordance with the planned dynamics of the works and will not represent an obstacle to the realization of the project within the given deadlines," the announcement concludes.
