This year, the Tax Administration (TA) submitted 330 proposals to the Commercial Court, headed by Blažo Jovanić, for the initiation of bankruptcy for tax debtors whose tax debt rescheduling decisions were canceled and for debtors whose debts to the state could not be collected for a long time. . From those 330 debtors, PU claims 18,05 million euros.
This three-digit number of requests to initiate bankruptcies in court this year is more than half of the total bankruptcy requests for all previous years.
PU explained to "Vijesta" that out of 330 proposals, 295 refer to debtors whose reprogramming was canceled and whose debt is 11,82 million, and the rest is for 35 taxpayers whose tax debt in the amount of 6,2 .XNUMX million.
"Among the taxpayers for whom bankruptcy has been proposed since the beginning of 2019, there are 31 taxpayers with a tax debt of more than 100.000 euros, and especially those with a debt of more than one million euros, such as Mercur System, Midland Steel Trading, Sotto La Collina and Montri Igalo", said the PU.
PU previously announced the initiation of bankruptcy for all debtors who came out of the reprogramme and cannot settle their debt, as well as for other debtors whose collection measures, in accordance with the law, did not have an effect.
In January alone, that institution submitted 176 proposals for the initiation of bankruptcy due to a debt of 8,3 million.
